Snow Reporter Comments: Good morning and welcome to bonus weekend number one! Today's going to be exactly, perfectly, 100% spring-like up here, perhaps drifting into summer-like weather. Actually, it'll definitely drift towards summery conditions. We'll be bombarded by sunbeams all day long alongside the invisible beams from the current coronal mass ejection responsible for last night's spectacular aurora borealis. Make sure you've got warm wax on your boards, and make sure you've got sunscreen on your exposed skin. Temps didn't drop much last night, and radiational cooling didn't have much effect either. In other words, the snow will start the day soft. While there's a slight snap to it, it'll probably thaw quickly after sunrise. Conditions will transition to spring slush quicker than you can say, “geomagnetic storm warning”. Use yellow wax for the best results, and bring some rub-on wax to retouch as the day progresses. This is 100% a day to wear sunscreen and reapply frequently. It's also a day to consider flip-flops for the driving and parking lot portions of your visit. In between snapping shots of the norther lights last night, our cat crew created corduroy on runs accessed by these lifts: Cascade, MHX, and Buttercup. Those lifts will run 8:30am to 2:30pm today, tomorrow, and next Friday and Saturday. And that'll be it for the season. That's right – just four more days. We hope you'll join us for this extended season. Have a wonderful day on the slopes!
